It doesn't matter if your amp is a year old or 60 years old - Tubes fail, Capacitors leak, random things can and do happen! Amplifiers can often be compared to cars, periodic maintenance is needed to keep them running at optimum levels! While we love vintage tube gear, we also repair and modify newer tube gear!
